Spinach quiche

Spinach quiche


Quiche is a french word,it means a cake.Spinach quiche is a french dish made of savory custard of cheese, eggs & spinach,baked on the pie crust.i have moderated the original dish with some of my own ingredients keeping the basic ingredients same.
Here's what you're gonna need

Ingredients

Frozen & thaw spinach 1oz can(Although u can use fresh spinach as well just boil it in hot water with 1/2 tsp salt & than blanch it immediately in the cold water.)
Eggs 3
cheese 1/2 cup(i have used Parmesan & mozzarella cheese in equal portions,u can any cheese of your choice)
Salt
Pepper
Chopped onion 1
Minced garlic 1tsp(optional,i like combination of spinach with garlic so i m adding it)
Olive oil 1tbsp
cumin seeds 1/2 tsp(in original recipe they never use cumin seeds but i m adding it,coz i like it that way,its up to you to add or not)

Recipe

1.In a bowl add 3 eggs,salt & pepper to taste & whisk.

2.In a pan add 1 tsp olive oil,add cumin seeds(optional),minced garlic & chopped onions,saute for 2-3 Min's.

3.Now blanched spinach & cook for another 3-4 Min's till all the water gets evaporated.now turn off the heat.

4.Grate your favorite cheese,we need 1/2 cup.
5.Now in the egg mix first add grated cheese,than add the spinach.



6.Savoury custard is ready.
7.Now pour this custard over the pie baking tray.(i am making my quiche without crust,but if you like with crust you can add one,than pour the custard in the pie base.
8.This will go in the preheated oven at 350F for 30 Min's,or till eggs are set fully.

Delicious Spinach Quiche is ready,i have sprinkled some oregano & chilli flakes on top.Bon appetite!!
