IDLI RECIPE

IDLI RECIPE

To make these yummy idlis all u need

Ingredients



Idli rava 2 cups
Urad dal 1 cup
salt to taste
idli stand


Recipe

1.Soak the idli rava(2 cups) & urad dal overnight(1 cup).




2.Next morning grind the urad dal,make a fine paste,than add the idli rava(squeez out all the water before adding the urad dal in the grinder)



3.Now transfer the urad dal in a big container,than add idli rava in this grinded urad dal mix,remember to squeez out all the water from the rava before putting it in the mixture.

4.Add salt,& let the batter to rest,for fermenting for atleast 5-6 hrs,in a warm place.


5.This need to again rest for fermenting for 5-6 hrs,before the batter is ready for making the idlis.
6.After fermenting it for 5-6 hrs you`ll see your batter must have rised,almost double,now just give it a quick mix dont mix too much,& pour this in the greased idli stands.





7.if u have microwable idli stands like i have it just needs 4 mins to make perfect idlis.
6.if you are using the idli stands,which goes in the cooker,it takes around 15 mins to make perfect idlis,& remember remove the whistle to let all steam out.


Perfect idlis are ready,serve it with warm sambhar & coconut chutney.
