Spicy spinach poli's
Poli's are indian flatbread,although it resembles like a roti or chapati its quite different.In this recipe i am using glamflour also known as besan to make my batter & i am adding chopped spinach which are high source of iron.These poli's are an excellent option for sunday brunch/appetizers/or even can be served with evening tea.
All u need
Ingredients
Gramflour/besan 1&1/2
Chopped spinach 1 cup
Chopped onions
Chopped green chillies(optional)
Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil 2tbsp
Recipe
1.In a bowl add gramflour,chopped onions,chopped spinach,green chillies,cumin seeds,cilantro,salt to taste.
2.Mix everything together,now add water little by little till you get a nice batter like consistency.
3.Heat oil in the skillet.
4.Pour around 1 tablespoon of this batter on the skillet,gently spread this batter on the skillet with the help of a spoon.
5.let it cook on one side on a medium low flame.
6.Gently turn it on the other side,& let it cook.
7.After cooking it for 2-3 mins on both the sides,u will see a nice golden colour on your polis,that indicates its cooked well on both the sides.
Delicious spicy spinach & gramflour polis are ready to be served.serve them with coriander chutney.
