The famous indian butter chicken

Butter chicken




This rich creamy buttery chicken dish needs no introduction.Most probably the best known of all  Indian dishes,it has already claimed the fame that it deserves.
This typically north Indian dish has made its place in every corner of the world.Today i m sharing with you all my version of this authentic chicken dish,straight from my kitchen.

All you need

Ingredients for chicken marination



chicken 1/2 kg        
Ginger-garlic paste 2tsp
coriander pdr 2tsp
red chili pdr 1tsp
salt to taste

Ingredients for gravy

Cumin seeds 1tsp
Chopped onion 1 medium
Ginger-garlic paste 2tsp
Coriander pdr 1 1/2 tsp
Red chili pdr 1 1/2 tsp
Cashews chopped 10
Kastoori methi 2tsp
Chopped tomatoes 2 medium size
butter 2tbsp
red food colour 2tsp
sugar 1/4tsp
Heavy cream 1/2 cup
Garam masala 2 tsp

Recipe

1.Marinate the chicken pieces in ginger-garlic paste,coriander pdr,red chili pdr & salt for at least 1hr.



2.Shallow fry these chicken pieces in oil,till they are 90% done,it will take around 10 Min's.now remove the chicken.


3.In the same pan in which you shallow fried the chicken pieces,add cumin seeds & chopped onions.



4.Now add ginger-garlic paste,& add some water(1/2 cup).
5.Now time to add cashew nuts,kastoori methi & chopped tomatoes.


6.Now cover it with lid & cook until the tomatoes are tender & soft,will take around 7-8 Min's.
7.Once the tomatoes are fully cooked than remove the pan from the heat & blend all the ingredients together in the blender to get a smooth paste.
8.In another pan heat butter,add this paste,red food colour,sugar & garam masala.



9.Add chicken pieces in this.
10.Add water & let it cook on the low medium flame.

Delicious butter chicken is ready to be served,garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
