Dal-Baati & churma

Dal-Baati





For baati's all you need

Ingredients



All purpose flour 2 cups
Semolina 1/4 cup
Salt (as per taste)
Ajwain(1 tsp or as per taste)
Ghee/clarified butter(1/4 cup,please note that 1/2 of this ghee we`ll use in kneading & other half while serving the baati`s)
Luke warm water for kneading the dough(roughly around 1/2 cup,remember you have to knead a hard dough,harder than normal chapati dough)

Recipe

preheat the oven at 400 * F.

1.In a bowl add all the other ingredients(all purpose flour,semolina,ghee(clarified butter),salt & ajwain)& knead it into a hard dough.



2.Set aside this kneaded dough for atleast 1/2 hr.
3.Now make small balls out of this dough,& set them up in the greased baking tray.(size can vary,its upto your choice)


4.This will go in the pre-heated oven at 400* F for 15 mins on one side,take them out turn them on the other side again for 15 mins.(keep checking them in between,as oven temp may sometimes vary)

5. Baati are done take them out of the oven & dip them in ghee,& serve hot, with daal,green chutney & salad.Enjoy,do try the churma recipe also,just click on the link of churma laddos below,they are the perfect combination with daal-baati`s.
