Cuisine from southern part of India comprises of food from four Major regions,Andhra pradesh,kerala,karnataka,Tamil nadu,as well as the union territories of lakshadeep & puducherry.Rice is the staple food,& use of fresh coconut,dried red chili's,curry leaves,plantains,tamarind,ginger,garlic are used in generous amounts.
south Indian delicacies are world widely appreciated & loved.whether be it steam cooked idlis,varieties of dosas,uttapams,rasam,sambhar or a huge range of chutneys & mouth watering pickles,all have interesting flavours.i remember when i was a small kid my mom used to soak different lentils overnight & early morning i used to wake up with this tantalizing aroma from her kitchen,where shes been busy cooking our meals.
