Kentucky fried chicken recipe

Kentucky fried chicken

A fried chicken usually consists of the chicken pieces of the broiler which have been floured or battered & than pan fried or deep fried. The breading is added to give it a nice crust to the exterior, while the chicken inside should be moist. In this recipe i am using chicken drumsticks,so as to get that KFC fried chicken look & taste.you got to try it to believe it!!it tastes awesome!!

All u need

Ingredients

Chicken drumsticks 8
Eggs 2
Corn flour 1 cup
Seasoned bread crumbs 1 cup
Curry powder 1 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Paprika 1 tbsp
Tandoori barbeque masala 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Pepper 1 tbsp
Oil for frying

Recipe

1.Wash & Clean the chicken drumsticks,if u dont like the skin u can take out the skin.
2.Break the eggs,& beat them with the hand whisk.
3.In a bowl add corn flour/corn starch,& all the seasonings except bread crumbs(paprika,cumin powder,curry powder,salt,pepper,tandoori masala,garam masala)
4.Now first dip the drmsticks in the beaten eggs.
5.Next dip them immediately in the corn flour/corn starch.

6.Repeat the process with all the chicken drumsticks.
7.let them sit for about 10 mins.
8.After 10 mins repeat the same steps(step 4,5 & 6)

9.Now roll the chicken drumsticks on the seasoned bread crumbs, this will give them a nice crust on top.
9.Again let the chicken drumsticks set aside for 10 mins.
10.Meanwhile heat the oil in the skillet,in medium high.
11.After 10 mins deep fry the chicken drumsticks in hot oil.
12.This will take 10-12 mins for chicken drumsticks to get cooked evenly, you`ll know they`re cooked when you`ll see a nice brown crust on top.
(make sure you don`t overcrowd the chicken pieces in the skillet, let 2-3 pieces at one time.)

    1. hi rishab
Your question was on how to choose the bread crumbs & barbeque masala??
Actually there is no precise masala or specific bread crumbs required, its totally upto your taste & availability,if you dont have bread crumbs you can easily make some, just take off the egdes of the bread & grind them in the grinder, you can also use semolina/sooji in place of bread crumbs,to give that crunchy texture.
For tandoori masala i have used MDH tandoori barbeque masala.(its totally optional,if you have it use it,otherwise you can make without it as well)
i hope i have understood your query,if not pls lmk.
      thanks
