Cake pops

CAKE POPS

A cake pop is a form of cake styled as a lolipop.cake crums are mixed with icing or chocolate & formed into the shapes of spheres or cubes.For the cake pops the most imp ingredient is obviously a cake,i have here used the half chocolate cake which was leftover from my black forest cake.if u already have a cake great,otherwise you can always make one,here is the recipe of the simple chocolate cake.

For making a chocolate cake all u need:

INGREDIENTS

  •  Butter 1/2 cup
  • Unsweetened condensed milk 1/3 cup
  • Sugar1/2 cup
  • All purpose flour 1 cup
  • Unsweetened coco powder 4-5tbsp
  • Baking powder 1tbsp
  • Baking soda 1/4 tbsp
  • Vanilla extract
Others
  • Cake tray

RECIPE

  1. Preheat oven at 350 F.
  2. In a mixing bowl take butter & sugar,make a cream of butter & sugar by hand blender,till the mixture is light & fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla essence & blend again.
  4. In a separate bowl take all purpose flour,baking powder,baking soda & coco powder.sieve them together & mix well.
  5. Now add this mix to the batter of butter & sugar,along with condensed milk little by little & blend it for 2-3 mins.
  6. Pour this mixture in a greased baking dish.keep dish in the oven bake it for 35 mins.
  7. To check if the cake is ready insert a knife in the center,if it comes out clean it means the cake is done,otherwise u need to bake it more.
Delicious chocolate cake is ready.

Ingredients for making cake pops

# 1/2 chocolate cake mashed
# vanilla/chocolate frosting
(again for the frosting either you can buy it from the market,in that case we`ll be needing 1 can/500 gm of frosting,otherwise you can always make one easily at home all u need...

 
For Butter cream frosting
  • Butter 1/2 cup
  • Powdered sugar 2 cups
  • Vanilla extract 1 tbsp
Butter cream frosting
  • Take 2 cups of sugar in a bowl.
  • Add 1/2 cups of butter(at room temp) in this sugar.
  • Add few drops of vanilla extract.
  • Mix all these together,with the help of a hand blender.
  • Butter cream frosting is ready,if u need to add any color u can do at this point,but i am gonna go with traditional all white frosting.

Recipe

#Mix mashed cake with vanilla frosting.
#Make small round balls,as shown in the pic with this.
#Now melt some chocolate,dip one side of the cake pop sticks in this melted chocolate & stick that end in the round cake balls.
 
 
#Freeze it the way i have shown in the pic,so that the cake balls harden itself & the stick sets in them properly.let it cool for 1hr.
#Now take out these cooled cake pops & dip them in melted chocolate,& dip them straight in the topping of your choice,kids love rainbow sprinkles.
#You can also use chopped nuts like almonds,walnuts for toppings.
#once coated properly,again let it set in the refrigerator for another 1/2 hr,u can also keep them in the freezer just to make the process quicker.

Delicious cake pops are ready,trust me kids love them & they are just the perfect bite size plus easy to hold with the stick.
