Basic Egg less Cake Recipe
(i just drizzled some strawberry syrup on top,my daughters choice)
Ingredients
All purpose flour 1 & 1/2 cup
Butter 1/2 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Baking powder tsp
Baking Soda 1/4 tsp
Lemon juice tbsp
Lemon zest tsp
Milk 1/2 cup
Salt just a pinch
Yellow color few drops
Recipe
1.Preheat the oven 350* F.
2.Grease the baking pan & keep it aside.
3.In a large mixing bowl beat the butter & sugar together,to this add lemon juice,lemon zest & pinch of salt.
4.In another mixing bowl sift together all purpose flour,baking powder,baking soda & salt.
5.Now add the dry ingredients into the creamy butter & sugar mixture along with milk little by little & whisk well.You can also add few drops of yellow color,but that's totally optional.
6.Once everything is mixed well, pour this mixture into the baking pan,this will go in the preheated oven for 25-30 mins,make sure to check after 25 mins as the temp varies in different ovens.
please note,that to check whether the cake is done,try inserting a toothpick in the center if it comes out clean that means the cake is done,otherwise you`ll need to bake it for some more time.
Once the cake is fully cooked,take it out from the oven & let it cool in the baking pan till its cool off completely.
Adding lemon juice & lemon zest is fully optional,if you want to avoid it you can.
