Instant Dhokla in Microwave in just 4 Min's!!!!
All you need
Ingredients for the batter
Besan/Gram flour 1 cup
Semolina/sooji 1/4cup
Sugar 1/2 tsp
lemon juice 2tsp
Eno fruit salt 1tsp
Finely grated ginger 1/2 tsp
salt to taste
Ingredients for the tadka/tempering
Oil 2tsp
Mustard seeds/rai 1tsp
sesame seeds 1tsp
curry leaves 4-5
red chili whole 2-3
onion chopped 1/2 (optional)
Recipe
1.In a bowl add 1 cup besan/gram flour,to this add water to make a smooth batter,make sure there are no lumps,to this add semolina & mix well,the consistency of the batter just right pouring consistency.
2.Once you get a nice batter to this add grated ginger,lemon juice,sugar & salt to taste & mix again.
3.Batter is ready.now set aside this batter for at least 10 Min's.
4.After 10 Min's add 1tsp eno fruit salt in this batter & mix again,don`t over mix the batter after adding eno fruit salt.just give it a quick stir that`s it.
5.Now grease a microwave safe bowl,add the batter in this,& cover with a safe lid.
6.This will go in the microwave for 4 Min's.
7.After 4 Min's let it set aside for 2-3 more Min's,dhokla is ready,cut it into desired size pieces.
Making the tadka/tempering
1.Heat 2tsp oil in a pan,once the oil is hot add mustard seeds,let them crackle than add sesame seeds,red chili whole,& curry leaves.(in my tadka i also add 1/2 chopped onion its optional,i like it so i use it)
2.At last pour this tadka on top of dhokla garnish with coriander leaves & grated coconut,serve hot.
optional
if you like sweet dhokla you can add 3/4 cup water in the tadka with 2tsp sugar,pour this tadka over the dhokla.
